PROCRASTINATION KILLERS

Do you procrastinate?

More time is lost in work through people putting off tasks and worrying about them instead of just getting the job done.

Here are 12 quick procrastination killers:

1. Get started - beginning is usually the hardest part. Once you have formed the 30-day habit you’re destined to succeed.

2. Break the task down into manageable chunks. If the problem seems to be a big one and you don’t know where to begin, start with the easiest chunk to give you confidence, then take it one bite at a time.

3. Use your ‘time gaps’ - even in five minutes you can accomplish a lot. You can often make your C tasks disappear during these quieter moments.

4. Important tasks first - routine seems easy - so we waste time on it by tackling it first. Schedule the difficult tasks first and then ‘reward’ yourself with the easy tasks.

5. Reward yourself for doing it and not procrastinating - if you really don’t want to do it, give yourself something to look forward to. When I’ve done this, I will have a coffee / go for a walk.

6. Start in the middle. If the first step seems the hardest, try starting in the middle and work your way outwards.

7. Give yourself more time. Set your alarm clock 15 minutes earlier.

8. Simplify it. Ask yourself if you could do it differently. Maybe you are making it more complicated than it needs to be.

9. Do nothing! Tell yourself that for fifteen minutes you are going to sit with the tasks and not do anything. (controlled procrastination) Generally people become bored and start.

10. Delegate it.

11. Involve someone else. Tell them what you intend to do, and ask them to check on your progress!

12. Use your leisure time for leisure. If you stop procrastinating then your leisure time will be ‘guilt free’.

“THAT THING CALLED LOVE”

It was 9:00pm and I was waiting for my dad to arrive home.
My mom said that I should sleep already, but I refused too.
3 months past and he never came back, and suddenly when I was heading home, I saw my dad carrying a suitcase and my mom at his back crying and stopping him.
I heard everything, my mom’s cry, and even my dad’s reasons that I’m afraid to hear. It’s all about love.
Love? It’s just a simple word that everybody used, used to destroy lives.
Ever since my dad left us our whole life is a mess.
I used to be a daddy’s girl before, I am his favorite daughter, I am his spoiled brat and everything, but all of a sudden because of that thing called “love” he left us, because he doesn’t love my mom anymore.
See?
How that love ruin our family?

Happily Ever After, Not!

2 years of relationship. there’s tears, jealousy and everything but he always makes me happy and there’s a point that we’re talking about our wedding already.
Right after our graduation, he already got a job, at the first place it was really hard, but we’re fighting.
Until 1 month before our 4th anniversary, he never talked to me, he said he’s busy so I understand it.
I saved money and went to his workplace to surprise him, unfortunately I was the one surprised.
He is with a girl his workmate, I don’t want to over-think but I saw them holding each others hand.
Starting that day there’s no night that I never cried.
There’s no closure between us and the most aching part of it is he is already happy, and I’m still holding on the words that there’s you and me.
Our happily ever after, turns to happily never happen
